How to use this tool

  1. Select one PDF of up to 100 MB and 300 pages. Password-protected or encrypted PDFs cannot be opened by this tool.
  2. Review the page cards. Select cards when you want to apply a batch action, and exclude any pages that should not appear in the new document.
  3. Rotate pages that are in the wrong orientation, then drag the included pages into the required reading order.
  4. Create the new PDF and download technine-extracted-pages.pdf before leaving the page. The download contains all included pages as one document.

Ways to use it

Extract a section from a longer document
Keep the pages that cover one chapter, form or reference section and save them together as a shorter PDF.
Remove pages before sharing
Leave out blank, duplicate or unrelated pages before creating a new copy. Review every included page before sharing because removing pages is not the same as redacting content.
Correct scanned page order and orientation
Rearrange pages from a scanning mistake and rotate sideways pages before downloading a corrected reading copy.

Supported files and limits

  • The tool accepts one PDF at a time. The source file can be up to 100 MB and contain up to 300 pages. Password-protected and encrypted PDFs are unsupported, even when you know the password.
  • The result is one PDF containing the included pages in the order shown. It does not create a separate PDF for each page or a ZIP archive. The generated PDF cannot exceed 150 MB.
  • Processing takes place locally in the browser. The source file is not uploaded or stored, but the browser still needs enough memory to list the pages and build the result. A PDF within the stated limits may fail on a device with limited memory.
  • The tool uses a high-assurance page-only safety policy and removes annotations before copying. Links, comments, form controls, embedded page media, page actions and scripts are omitted. Form values may disappear if they were not flattened into the page artwork.
  • Bookmarks or outlines, file attachments and document metadata are not preserved in the new PDF.
  • Digital signatures are not preserved. The download is a newly generated document and cannot be validated with a signature from the source PDF; keep the original signed file if its signature record matters.

Common questions

Is my PDF uploaded or stored?

No. The selected PDF is read and processed locally in your browser. The tool does not store the source or result, so download the new PDF before leaving or refreshing the page.

Can I remove, rotate and reorder individual pages?

Yes. Exclude pages you do not want, rotate pages that are in the wrong orientation and drag the included pages into the required order before creating the new PDF.

Does the tool create separate PDFs or a ZIP file?

No. It creates one PDF from all included pages in the order shown. The downloaded filename is technine-extracted-pages.pdf.

What are the file, page and output limits?

You can process one PDF of up to 100 MB and 300 pages. The generated PDF must remain within 150 MB. Available browser memory can still affect whether a large document completes successfully.

Will links, forms and other PDF features still work?

The tool copies page content under a high-assurance page-only safety policy and removes annotations first. Links, comments, form controls, embedded page media, page actions and scripts are omitted, and unflattened form values may disappear. Bookmarks, attachments and document metadata are not carried into the new file.

Can I use an encrypted or digitally signed PDF?

Encrypted and password-protected PDFs are unsupported. A source PDF with a digital signature may be opened only if it is not encrypted, but the signature is not preserved in the newly generated document. Keep the signed original for verification.
