Fitness coaching app

A gentle-movement app concept linking today’s session, exercise guidance and a two-of-three progress view, with proposed pause and completion states.

Design concepts, not client projects. Screens are static mockups; names and data are illustrative.

The design brief

Make a short movement session easy to find and return to. The concept focuses on a modest daily plan rather than rankings or competitive streaks.

Designed for
People browsing a gentle movement routine and keeping track of session completion.
Constraints to consider
The routine and progress are illustrative, not personalised exercise advice. Two of three sessions represents sample activity records, not a measured health outcome.

The proposed journey

  1. 01

    Find today’s session

The today screen introduces the movement session as a clear starting point.

  2. 02

    Follow the session

A focused session view gives the exercise guidance space away from the broader plan.

  3. 03

    Review participation

The progress view shows two of three sessions completed as sample tracking data.

Why these design choices?

Keep pausing ordinary

A proposed session should make pause and exit easy to find. Progress cues should not pressure someone to continue.

Describe what is counted

Session completion is a record of participation. It should not be presented as evidence of fitness improvement.

A closer look at the visual system

Proposed design specimens. These are static examples, not working controls or a production specification.

Typography & spacing

Clear information. A considered next step.

Use plain sans-serif instructions with a comfortable reading size. Duration and session labels need more clarity than decorative workout slogans.

Give the session controls room for touch. Keep progress labels close to their counts so the denominator remains visible.

Beyond the ideal state

Session paused

Session paused. Resume when you are ready, or leave the session.

Completion recorded

Session marked complete. Your plan now shows 2 of 3 sessions.

Progress not saved

Your progress could not be saved. Try again before leaving this screen.

Why show completed sessions rather than a fitness score?

A completion count describes the activity record the interface holds. A fitness score would need a separate definition and evidence. The concept keeps those claims apart.
