PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB. The image stays in your browser.

Create a static QR code in the browser, check the preview, then download it as PNG or SVG. Choose a content type before entering details: the QR code stores that information directly, so the encoded URL or other details are fixed once the code is printed.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose URL, text, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, vCard, or event.
  2. Enter the details and confirm that the preview represents the right action or information.
  3. Choose the pattern and corner shapes, set solid or gradient colours, and optionally add a centre logo. Keep the clear border around the QR pattern when placing the artwork.
  4. Download PNG for a fixed-size image or SVG for an artwork file, then scan the downloaded code on another phone before publishing.

Ways to use it

Website link
Put a landing page, menu, document, app link, or campaign URL behind a scannable code.
Wi-Fi access
Encode a network name, password, encryption type, and hidden-network setting for a supported Wi-Fi connection.
Contact card
Create a vCard with a name, organisation, job title, phone number, email address, website, and address.
Message, call, or event
Open an email, phone call, SMS, or WhatsApp message, or share calendar-style event details.

Static QR codes and scanning limits

  • This tool creates static QR codes only. It does not provide redirect management, destination editing, expiry controls, scan reports, or visitor tracking.
  • Generation and PNG/SVG download happen in the browser. The tool does not ask you to sign in or store a generated code for later retrieval.
  • The margin control is 4–8 modules. Keep this clear border intact and check that a transparent background still has strong contrast. Adding a logo uses high error correction, but scan reliability still depends on the design and final size. Test with another device and avoid putting confidential details in a public code.

Common questions

Can I customise the pattern and add my logo locally?

Yes. Choose square, slightly rounded, rounded or dot patterns; style the corner frames and centres separately; and use solid or gradient colours. A PNG, JPEG or WebP logo can be added with adjustable size and white padding. The browser processes the image locally and includes it in both PNG and SVG downloads.

Does a successful scan check guarantee it will scan everywhere?

No. The local check compares the decoded image with the content being encoded. Phone cameras, print size, lighting and the background behind a transparent image can affect scanning. Test the final file and a printed sample before distributing it.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG is a raster image that suits a fixed on-screen or document size. SVG is vector artwork, so it can be placed in a design or print layout without becoming pixelated. Test the final exported or printed version either way.

Do these QR codes expire?

No expiry is set by this tool. A static code continues to contain the same text or destination. It can still stop being useful if the linked website, Wi-Fi details, phone number, or other encoded information changes.

Can I change the destination after printing?

The encoded URL or other details cannot be changed; create and replace the code if they change. Content at the same URL can change if you control that website. A dynamic QR service uses a managed redirect to change a destination later; this tool does not provide that service.

Can I see how many people scan it?

No. This generator does not record scans or provide scan analytics. If a code opens a website, any analytics on that website are separate from this tool.

Is it free and private?

Generating and downloading codes here is free, and no account is required. The preview and download are created in the browser, and the tool does not keep a library of your codes. Anyone who scans a published code can read or open the content it contains.

Why will my QR code not scan?

Use a dark foreground on a light, even background; leave at least 4 clear modules around the code; avoid blur, glare, folds, and decorative overlays; and scan the final printed or exported file on more than one phone.
